Clementine 0.5 RC1 - Moving

For those who do not know, Clementine is called to be a worthy successor to the marvelous Amarok 1.4 (which was my favorite player for a long time.)

Also based on the QT library and reusing code Amarok, Clementine is not long since started to develop and are making great strides to have a player of such quality as was Amarok.

Today upgrading my system (Archlinux) I saw that there was an update and turned out to be the first RC of Clementine 0.5.

What they brought back this new version?

So many interesting things such as support for iPods, MTP support for those who want to use it (I say this because it's a Microsoft thing ¬ ¬) and USB drive support.

Support for iPods was very expected by users of Clementine, and finally made progress in this aspect.

Apart from these new media, has added the ability to manage Clementine with a Wiimote, something really interesting

Now you can manage your external devices by copying new files or organizations within the device. Also transcode the files if the device requires.

As usual various bugs have been fixed and will be corrected as progress is made towards a stable version.

Invite you to try this promising player.

Create images from the web Debian

Reviewing my feeds, I noticed on the official website of the Debian project announced the availability of a web tool that we can create our images of Debian as configured to our liking. Something like what you have installed opensuse but a little less flashy.

The web is http://live-helper.debian.net/cgi-bin/live-helper

All you have to do is put first the mail to where we want to send us notice that our image is ready, then go complete the various boxes for the desired configuration.

You can select the repository you want to use the extra packages we want to get the distribution we want to use Debian (Lenny, or Sid Squeeze) and other more advanced settings.
